School Recognition

Congratulations to Las Flores Home Education and Independent Study Academy for receiving a full six year WASC Accreditation.

Bellflower Unified is proud to announce that seven of our schools have been named to the 2019-2020 Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll for their high achievement in student success. The program, sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE), is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes. Schools that receive the ERP Honor Roll distinction have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time, and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. Academic achievement is based solely on State academic test results.

Bellflower High, Mayfair High, Esther Lindstrom, Stephen Foster, Intensive Learning Center, and Albert Baxter were recognized at the Star level and Las Flores Home Education Independent Study Academy was recognized at the Star and STEM level.  Star level recognizes schools with greater than, or equal to, 33 percent of students designated as socioeconomically disadvantaged that are high performing and are reducing achievement gaps while STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) level recognizes a subset of the Honor Roll schools that have both high-percentages of low-income students and high levels of math and science achievement.

Bellflower Unified is proud of these schools and their dedication to Bellflower Unified School District’s vision of building futures for our students.
