Las Flores Home Education Independent Study Academy
2025-2026 Enrollment Information
Las Flores offers parents a unique opportunity to play an active role in their TK-12th grade students’ education by enrolling them in Independent Study. Opportunities to partially or fully “homeschool” are available for all grades beginning in August 2025! If you are interested in applying for your student participating in In Independent Study through Las Flores, please follow the steps below:
- Step 1: Complete the Interest Form using the link below:
- Step 2: Guardians will be contacted in the order they completed the interest form by the school clerk who will briefly explain the program and gather pertinent information.
- Step 3: There will be a meeting scheduled with the site administrator who will offer further information and critical details about independent study.
- Step 4: Students who do not reside within Bellflower Unified School District, will need to be released from their home school district. Those within BUSD boundaries will need to contact the school clerk if still interested. The clerk will then contact their home school (if applicable) and add them to the roster for the 2025-26 school year.
- Step 5: Those needing to be released from their home school district will submit the interdistrict application online to the Bellflower Unified School District.
- Step 6: If the permit is approved, the school clerk will contact the guardians to complete the new student enrollment located on the Bellflower Unified School District website.
- Step 7: When all appropriate documentation is received the student will be added to the roster for the 2025-26 school year.
- Step 8: All families will be contacted prior to the 2025-26 school year to schedule meetings with supervising teachers to sign Master Agreements.
