Bellflower Early Learning Link (BELL)

What Is BELL?

Bellflower Unified offers a FREE interactive program (BELL) for families who reside within the boundaries of BUSD. BELL is designed for children 0-5 years of age and their parent/caretaker.  At BELL you will engage your child in activities designed to develop your child’s cognitive, social emotional, physical development. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn alongside your child, and meet members of our community!

Registration is required, but is FREE for families residing within Bellflower Unified School District attendance boundaries.

  • Program Dates: Friday, August 11, 2023 - Tuesday June 3, 2024
  • Program Days: Monday - Thursday
  • Fun Friday: On the last Friday each month.
    • There will be a special session focusing on the exploration and discovery of STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, art and math).
  • Program Times: 8:45am - 11:15am

We are Learning . . .






Arrival and Morning Routine



Caregiver and child come in and complete their morning routine (wash hands, greet classmates, teacher sign in, answer any questions)




Indoor Free Play



Activities, toys, and various manipulatives will be out for the child and parent to play or child will be able to play with others.




Parent Talk



Check in with Caregivers:  This is an open forum for the caregiver to talk about the topic of the day:  Learn Skills, Interact with teacher and other caregivers, Reassurance, Community and classroom building.






Circle Time



Story Time/ Music and Movement/ Yoga/ Various calming activities









Caregivers and children will work through various centers for a specific amount of time.  Teacher will rotate and help as needed.  Centers will be designed to teacher various math, science, fine motor, literacy, are, and social skills.

Wash Hands



Parent and child wash hands and find a seat for snack time






Snack Time



Chile learns how to sit and wait, eat together, fellowship, clean up after themselves, and eat healthy snacks.






Outside/Gross Motor



Various Gross Motor activities are set up around our outdoor playground (weather permitting) to practice and develop various gross motor skills and to "shake our sillies out" before heading home.






Dismissal/ Goodbye/ Sign out



Teacher says goodbye to each caregiver and child.
