COVID-19 Update
Please note the recent updates to Covid-19 isolation and masking guidance announced by the LA County Dept of Public Health. The new guidance adopts a more flexible, symptom-based approach, aligning with approaches used for other illnesses.
This document aligns with California Dept of Public Health guidance and aims to minimize disruptions to schools and workplaces, with a priority on individuals most at risk of severe illness.
Key Highlights:
- Individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19 and have mild and improving symptoms, and no fever for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, may return to work or school instead of the previous required 5 days isolation period. Masks are required to leave isolation through day 10 from symptom onset whenever around other people.
- Individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19 and have no symptoms are not required to isolate provided they wear a well-fitting mask whenever around other people for 10 days following the positive test result.
