• COUNSELING SERVICES

Woodruff has a part-time Counselor that provides services to all students, such as: individual counseling, small group sessions, classroom presentations, and crisis intervention.  Counseling groups typically focus on specific topics, such as: anger management, friendship skills, dealing with feelings, self-esteem, and conflict mediation.  Woodruff uses Skills Streaming, which is an evidence-based curriculum, to provide guidance for individual and group sessions.  Classroom presentations focus on personal space, cyberbullying, mindfulness, bullying, college and career readiness, and Restorative Justice.  Our Counselor also focuses on school-wide events through Bully Free Week, College and Career Week, and PBIS.  Students can be referred for counseling services by the classroom teacher, administrator, parent, or self-referral.
