    Thomas Jefferson School Counseling

A school counselor works with ALL students to encourage a safe school climate of trust and respect.  The school counselor meets with students to do brief, solution-focused counseling.  School Counselors do not do long-term mental health counseling/therapy.  If you child needs extra support, we can assist you in the referral process for outside counseling services.

Along with individual counseling, the school counselor also does classroom presentations, crisis intervention, runs social skills groups and provides resources to parents and teachers.  The school counselor is a student advocate to help your child with their social and emotional well being.

    School Counselor, Ms. White

Hello Jack Rabbit families!  I am so grateful for the opportunity to help your students succeed during their elementary years!  I have been within Bellflower USD since 2015.  Here is a little more information about me.  I am originally from Tennessee and moved to Los Angles in 2009.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters' in Educational Counseling (K-12).  In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading Harry Potter books, traveling, my two cats, Carrie and Tino, and spending time with family and friends.  I'm looking forward to helping your child achieve success inside and outside the classroom!
