Picture of principal
  • I am filled with “bolting” energy and excitement to be part of the Stephen Foster School Community! My name is Claudia Castillo and I have been given the honor of being your new principal. I am eager to meet all of our students, staff, and families to begin building collaborative and meaningful relationships. I have been part of Bellflower Unified School District for 3 years. I have served as an assistant principal at Albert Baxter Elementary School, Washington Elementary School, and the Intensive Learning Center. My career started at Lynwood Unified School District as an elementary teacher for 8 years and as an Instructional Improvement Leader for 2 years. My philosophy as an administrator is to be a servant leader achieving the most positive effect on the development of the whole child, together we will help them reach their highest potential in academics and social emotional skills. My goal is to keep a positive and safe environment where all members of our school community feel welcomed and motivated to reach success. As your principal, I will lead by example to drive our school in the direction to meet our goals in student achievement and creating exemplary citizens. “Building Futures” will be our overarching goal and motivation at Stephen Foster Elementary School.

    Go Bolts!
