Students in a CalAPS Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway program take a specialized sequence of courses, a pathway which provides rigorous academic and technical knowledge and skills aligned with a specific career focus. CTE pathways range from 2 to 4 years in length and culminate in a capstone level course. Courses within the same CTE pathway are designed to be taken in sequential order to ensure the development of knowledge and skills over time. Through our pathway courses, students get the chance to take classes that teach them practical job skills across various industries. Even if CalAPS students start without any knowledge or experience with a pathway, they will be prepared for internships and jobs with a clear understanding of their profession and the steps necessary to advance and be successful. CalAPS offers courses at all grade levels.
CalAPS offers 13 CTE pathway programs across 11 industry sectors.
