Hello Pyle Families,

Thank you to all families who were able to help support the PTA at our Book Fair. The students were all so very excited to shop and see all of the reading adventures available.

Today we were able to tell our students about our GATE program at Pyle and celebrate our GATE identified students. Students can qualify to be a part of the program through high test scores and other measures. Current GATE students were invited to receive a certificate in front of the school at our morning assembly. We will be having a GATE parent meeting in room 83 at 6:30 on Tuesday evening September 12, 2023, after the classroom visitations for Back To School Night. Please be sure to attend this meeting if you are a parent of an Ernie Pyle GATE student so that you can hear about all of the opportunities your student will have by being a part of this program.

Tuesday, September 12, is our Back to School Night. This is an opportunity for parents to hear from the teacher about all that we have planned for the students this year. The evening will start at 5:00 pm with introductions and a PTA meeting in the cafeteria, following the PTA we will have a representative from Paper Tutoring to share with families about the free tutoring platform available to all students. Classroom Visitations will take place in two sessions from 5:30-6:00 and 6:00-6:30 p.m. Our Wellness Center, room 42, will be open so that families can visit this new social-emotional space available to our panthers and we will have vendors available on the playground. Please save the date, it is a night you won't want to miss.
