Hello Pyle Families. This month we have some great activities happening on campus.
On Thursday, October 21, Ernie Pyle PTA will be hosting the PTA Pyle Pumpkin Path. From 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm Students with their families are welcome to come to the front gate of the school to participate in a trick or treat path through some of our hallways. The PTA and some of our teachers will be passing out treats to our visitors. This event will be completely outside and you are welcome to wear costumes. No weapons, please. All visitors must wear a mask or face covering (costume masks are not a substitute for a Covid-19 face mask). Please do not attend if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or if you are under isolation orders, or if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. During the event family units will walk the path together, please keep 6 feet between yourselves and other family groups. If you would like to send in any treats to be shared with our guests that evening please send individually wrapped store-bought items to the office to be given to PTA. Thank you to those families who have already sent in candy to be shared at the event.
At Ernie Pyle, we follow the healthy kids wellness policy so we are not able to have any unhealthy foods on campus during school hours. Please do not send in candy to be passed out in your student's classroom as this will not be able to happen. You may always send in stickers, pencils, or other fun classroom supplies. If you would like to send in candy for the after-school event we do appreciate your donations.
Red Ribbon week will be October 25-29, where we will be participating in dress-up days to pledge to be drug-free.
Wednesday, October 27, will be our fall school picture day. Students will be in uniform to take the picture that will be used in the yearbook. There will be another picture day in the spring. During Spring pictures students will have free dress.
