Summer Learning Resources
This summer, keep learning and Building Your Future. Try one or more of the activities below to exercise your brain during the summer and to get ready for next year.
English Language Arts
Grades TK-2—Readingbear
Support your child with developing reading and spelling skills. Readingbear will teach students how to read and spell a variety of words following a developmental sequence. Lessons include reading words as well as their definitions and using words in different contexts.
To sign your student up for this amazing program:
- Click here to go Readingbear and sign your student up for an account.
- Mark the settings for presentations as “Let me sound it out”. Click here to learn more about how to change the settings in Readingbear.
Have your child take the quiz first to make sure that the program starts at the correct level. Children that get 90-100% should go to the next level without completing the presentation.
Grades 2-11—Commonlit
Support your child with developing their reading comprehension while enjoying engaging texts. Students will complete lessons on a wide variety of texts selected for their grade-level by educators. Lessons include standards-aligned questions that will support students in critical thinking. Children will receive a certificate when they complete the summer reading program. Math
Grades TK-8—ST Math
Keep logging on and practicing math in the ST Math program until June 30th. Click here to use the summer log to track how much your child uses the program and how many puzzles your child solves. Try to play ST Math at least 30 minutes three times a week. Click here and follow these instructions to log on to the program.
Grades 9-11 - Essentials for Success in IM 2

Children will take a pre-test to reflect on skills that they already know, will practice skills, and will review standards by completing "I Can" assignments. Students will complete a post-test for both the Algebra and Functions sections and receive instant results so they are aware of what they’ve learned.
