Emergency Medical Technician Preparation
Open to 11 and 12th grade ONLY
California law requires all ambulance attendants to be trained and certified at the EMT level. EMT's are often used as the first dispatched medical providers within an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. EMT Preparation will be an introductory course for students who are interested in earning their EMT certificate. Students who wish to complete the EMT certificate for employment will need to attend a summer course to meet all necessary requirements. The summer completion course is not mandatory. Additional google classroom assignments are required for the semester course.
This course is part of the Public Services CTE Industry Sector.
