Michael Larson rejoined BUSD as a Physical Education Specialist in 2013 after nine years as a school administrator in another district. Mr. Larson received an M.A. in Educational Administration from California State University-Los Angeles, an M.S. in Administration of Physical Education/Athletics from George Williams/Aurora University, and his B.A. from Trinity International University. Mr. Larson has also served as a head coach at the high school, community college, and university levels. His assignments are Washington and Esther Lindstrom Elementary Schools.
Kristy Contreras is in her 3rd year as a BUSD Physical Education assistant. She has attended CSULA where her major was kinesiology with an emphasis in human performance. During her time at CSULA, she played on the Women's Soccer Team. She also played soccer with the Women's Mexican National team from 2000-2003. In the past, she has worked in one of the top sports performance facilities in the nation and coached high school and club soccer. Her future goal is to be a teacher.
Esteban Rodriguez is in his 1st year as a BUSD Physical Education assistant. He is a graduate of Cerritos College and California State University-Dominguez Hills, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He is continuing his education by working toward technology certifications. He began working for Bellflower Unified School District in 2006. He has held positions in Project APPLE and as a Special Education Aide. He has also worked for the City of Downey directing a Sports and Fitness summer day camp.
