With a new school year well under way, the students and staff at Thomas Jefferson are focused on expanding their use of technology. This year, every student has access to their own Chromebook each day. These devices allow students to use online resources that connect to our adopted curriculum, and provide access to Google Classroom and other G Suite apps so students can complete and share their work, contribute to group projects, and evaluate the work of others. In addition, we have a media room, which has video equipment and green screen technology students use to record our school’s newscast and other class projects. Technology not only challenges and engages students it also allows for better communication with parents and the community through Instagram, Class Dojo, and Seesaw apps. Here at Jefferson, we work daily to ensure that students have the skills necessary to become productive citizens in the 21st century.
