Washington Elementary School’s mission is to empower students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens through a challenging comprehensive curriculum in a positive, supportive learning environment.

We strive to provide an excellent instructional program with high expectations for all students.  This challenge is achieved through the implementation of district standards, and a comprehensive sequential curriculum.  As students enter Kindergarten they are held accountable to meeting state and district grade level standards throughout their academic career. Administration, teachers, and support staff work with parents to help monitor student achievement

At Washington Elementary, we instill the passion to learn, the value of diversity, and the importance of perseverance.  We encourage students to be respectful, responsible, and independent so that they become self-sufficient, contributing adults in their community.

We are committed to building futures, to support educational reform to ensure that ALL students learn to think critically so that they are prepared for further learning, responsible citizenship, and productive employment in our changing society.

We encourage parents and community members to participate in our school activities and to take an active role in promoting academic success for all our students.
