Head Start/State Preschool is a program that is co-funded by federal and state monies. The program is designed for 4 year old children. In the Head Start program the parent and child must both participate.
Entry into these programs is based on need, parent qualification for specialized programs, availability, and care costs.
Exit from the program is based on the child's age and parental choice.

Special Education Preschool is a program for 3 to 6 year old children with identified special needs. Special Day Classes are available for a wide range of disabilities. Early intervention often makes the difference in later success at school. An assessment process by a team of preschool specialists is used as the basis for the Individual Education Program (IEP).

Preschool Early Enrichment Program (PEEP)
is a special education preschool program for students who demonstrate mild delays in language, concepts and/or motor development and who do not require intensive special education services.
Children are provided with a balanced program of child initiated and teacher directed activities in both large and small group settings. Their IEP goals and objectives are implemented in a two hour per day, two day per week program.
